Everybody gather 'round
I'll tell the story of what you found
The lifeless body before your eyes
This murder victim fell from the skies

His fate was violent as you can see
He left an exit not meant to be
Now I know you wonder just how I know
This broken man was
Pushed out the window

The fourth floor rented in late July
It's mid-October, look: someone died
His face disfigured on impact
So I can't place him
He hit the pavement outside the window
Of my home the basement

I'm not a suspect, my doctor knows
The police believe me
Because my history shows
I have a problem above the ground
This fear of falling four stories down

But I can't make it so I'll sit and wait
And wonder who is this broken body
Could it be my son, could it be Robert?
