Something's coming in the distance
Something's running with a fright
Coming closer, getting louder
Beast morose or friendly sight?
It nears the light
Frozen in a fearful terror gaze
Trapped inside a wooden forest maze
Troubled by a constant evil sound
Shape tears past me
Balance hits the ground
Something's someone
Somewhat frightened
Mad with visions of despair
It's a girl, cut up and beaten
Bloody curls of tangled hair
But something else is there
The sound remains, the monster closes in
I bite my lip, blood trickles down my chin
The frightened girl clings
Helpless at my side
Unnerved we wait for something to arrive
I stand in front of her
She holds me tight this horrid night
Two dark gold eyes are glowing
Right in front of me, quickly proceeding
My knees give out, I lose my balance
Gravity defeats me
We fall together
Curling up into a ball of safety
Something suddenly stops moving
Rushing blood into my veins
Open my eyes to find the darkness
Black night sky to soothe my pain
My senses went insane
Hallucinations caused by panicked fear
The only explanation is a deer
I kiss the girl upon her head and see
Her bloody hair was not just fantasy
A sudden growling makes
Its presence known
It chills the bone
The girl digs fingernails into my skin
What have I gotten into?
We're both attacked by something sinister
I'm holding her
We slip into unconsciousness
With one final kiss
