Can't find her pulse

The body of my girlfriend Syria
Dead in the middle of the street

The intersection lights
A sideswipe she could not endure

The car keeps driving

It fails to stop

Sideswiped from behind

I filled out crime reports 'til sunrise
I never saw the license plate
The car was black with tinted windows
